#BringBackDirt

Ryan Guettler filmed for this all dirt edit below & sent in a few words about it all. Check it out.

I wanted to do a all dirt edit with a glide cam to give it a new style feel that you normally don’t see with dirt edits.
It was filmed over one weekend but I really need to thank Woodward West, Heath Pinter and Steven Murray for letting me ride there jumps. Filmed and edited by Casey McPerry.

“Hey brah brah, thought I throw this quick update of what I’ve been up too of late. So a week ago I got back from doing some work up at a mine in the top end of SA, these are some photos of the shit I was doing. Some earthworks and pipe laying and welding. I’m due to head back up soon and keep making bank so I can head back over to the states. I’ll throw another update pre slay rails until then stay trill.”

Ryan features pretty hard in this well put together video for Ethika.

Vans Demo

A couple weeks ago Ryan headed to Pennsylvania for a Vans demo and it looks like all the riders and the crowd enjoyed the day.

Cold nights in Canberra.

Zac shot s through an update from Canberra…

Hey all. Not much has been happening of late. It’s been hard to get motivated to ride in Canberra because it’s been freezing. You go for a ride it’s atleast -5, it’s so shit if you fall off! I’ve be rocking trackies whenever I ride, it’s the best feelin riding in them.

In other news I’m heading up to Brissy next week to film some more of my up and coming edit, be good to see all the Brissy crew again! It’s Millar’s birthday so I’m sure I’ll have him do some dance moves by the end of the night. I’ll hit ya’s up again with an update next week when I’m in Brisbane, hopefully have some photos of Millar dancing. Anyways talk to you all then.

Brock Olive and LUX

Brock recently went on a trip with his shop sponsor LUX. He shot through this update about the trip…

“I just got back from the LUX trip last Thursday and it was amazing, one of the funniest trips I’ve Ever been on.

We drove up to Gladstone and rode parks along the way and all the way back to Brissy. We’re gonna have the edit as a little premiere at the LUX 2nd birthday party in 2 weeks so should be a good night.”

Guettler, trails are shouting!

Ryan has a few good clips in the early stages of this web video from the jam that went down at Stephen Murray’s on the weekend. Looks like a real good vibe going down.

Free Flow Tour…

The day we checked out of & left Woodward West there was a Free Flow Tour stop being held there. Local rider Sebastian Smith who rides for Colony through Sidewall Distribution’s Crux Division program scored himself a well deserved 1st place. We had the pleasure to hang & ride with Sebastian whilst there & I can easily see why he won, he has the place on lock down. Well done mate !!

Zac Miner checks in

Zac just recently took a trip to Melbourne, here is a bit of an update from it all…

“So the Blazeguard prem was on the weekend in Melbs. aswell as my 25th birthday so Amber and I venture down and stayed with Thomas and Elle. It was a cracker of a weekend with the Blazeguard prem held at Revolver it was a fair turn out and as much as it was a short video, the whole production was amazing! The rest of the night was filled with being intoxicated.

I Spent most of Saturday hung over but managed to hit a ghetto rail across the road from Fordyces, two kids were just roaming by and wanted to jump in on the photo.

The old gang from Deniliquin treated me to a great night around North Melbourne for my birthday, it was a great weekend all in all.. I was so happy to get out of Canberra to be honest! In other news though. Backbone has started filming for their first full length DVD… Look out for that in about a years time, gunna be epic. Anyways speak to ya later.”

Anton at Woodward East

Anton McGuirk is back on the bike now after his back injury earlier this year. He has popped on over to Woodward East for a month to get back into the swing of things. He would’ve come here to Woodward West with us but at the time he was still not sure when he would be back on the bike at the time we booked this trip. Expect some updates here from Anton over the month ahead.

Happy 7th birthday Colony !!

Today marks the 7th birthday for Colony as a company. It’s hard to believe that it’s been 7 years already. I would like to thank everyones support for us over the years. It’s been quite a ride to get to where we are now & we’re looking forward to many more years to come yet.

So thanks again to all our distributors, all the shops, all of our team, all of our employees, all the magazines & all the websites that have supported us from day one. More importantly, I would like to personally thank any rider out there who has ever bought one of our products or simply been down with what we’re about. Without all you guys, we would be nothing, so thank you.

We compiled a flipbook of photos pulled from the news posts over the past six years that the website has been live, enjoy…

As a special kind of celebration we have released our first ever road trip DVD from back in 2007. ‘A Month In The Life Of’ was filmed over the span of a few weeks starting in Beenleigh, Australia with the Spinal Disorder comp then road tripping from Brisbane down to Sydney for the BMX Games. We then met up with Dave Osato & headed over to New Zealand to explore the south island before returning to the north island for the last ever X-Air comp that went down in NZ. Good times.
