Archive Of April 2014 - Colony BMX
Marnold has been on the team for just short of five years now & we have seen him grow into the amazing street rider that he is today. It is with sadness though, that he has decided to step down from the pro team & take a more chilled position within our family team. He will still be riding for us but just without the duties that come with being a pro team rider. I personally want to thank Marnold for all his support over the years & his dedication to Colony as a brand. It’s been awesome mate & I am looking forward to our next ride together. Clint Millar
I’ve known Marnold for something like 7 years and watching him progress over those years has been an awesome experience. I am glad he was able to see the world because of BMX and I will miss the missions we would have going out at all hours of the night to film a clip or make a spot rideable. I am sure you will still be seeing Marnold out on the bike and chances are he will be killing it as he has that natural ability that most (including myself) wish we had. Cooper Brownlee.
Below are some words from Marnold himself…
After recent months and the last couple of years, I’ve been going through some life stuff and BMX has been on the back foot. After some serious thought, I have decided to step down from the Colony pro team. This I feel, is for the best for myself & Colony as a brand. I still will represent Colony as hard as I can but won’t be with the pro team anymore. I just want to say thanks to everyone at Colony that has helped me over the years. Cheers for the good times guys.. Marnold.

Good friend Larry Alvarado just announced he will be opening a BMX store in Riverside, California next month under the name Stacked BMX. The 20 year anniversary Prody Frames have arrived in the USA & will be here in Australia early May. The UK will also land these later in May. These frames are a special throwback to a very small run of frames Clint Millar had built back in the early ’90’s under the name of Prody.
If you frequent this site or our Instagram you would know that Jack and Cooper were over in California recently for a month. The guys were over there filming for a new web video which will be out very soon. Jack took his Go Pro with him and filmed a few clips of some of the crew they hung out with whilst over there. Cooper, Bobbie, Jourdan and Ryan all have some footage in this aswell.

Available in an array of sizes including 19.8″, 20.4″, 20.7″ & also 21″ we offer a size that is sure to suit you as well. The 19.8″ version especially is perfect for smaller riders out there who want a high performance frame but in a size that’s easy to ride & great to progress with.
In fact, many riders out there are choosing Alex’s frame of late. You would also be surprised to know of the high profile riders out there, with other frame sponsors, that also ride a Sweet Tooth disguised as something else.
Check them out at a Colony dealer near you worldwide now.

Mike Brennan loves a good bleached tee so he was good enough to shoot us over a quick how-to on how he does his t-shirts…
First get a good dark colored Colony shirt. Then some bleach in an empty water or soda bottle and a nail.
First remove the cap from the bottle and tap the nail threw the center. Making a hole.
Next fill the bottle 2/3 of the way up with hot water.
Fill the rest of the bottle with bleach
Now lay your shirt out and spray on any way you want. The longer you leave it the more the color will change.
Flip the shirt over and do the other side.
Make sure to do it somewhere safe that the bleach won’t affect.
Then rinse the shirt out. Done.
We have just received a fresh new shipment in the USA with a few new items such as our Free Coaster Wheels & Free Coaster Hubs in the very popular Rainbow colour way. The wheels are laced to our Contour Rim in Black with either the Rainbow or a Black hub. Both wheels & hubs area available in RHD or LHD.
The first drop of Prody Frames for the planet, have also arrived in the USA & we couldn’t be more stoked. The platform is back !!
Expect to see these wheels, hubs & frames available at USA based retailers in the next week or so. So hit them up soon.
Other countries such as Australia, the UK, Canada, Brazil, China & Russia will receive theirs in the weeks ahead.

Ricky is always coming through with some creative moves and this video is no different, freshness…
Just checking in to say g’day. Been filming a bit with Vocko lately for the edit I’ve been working on. So be on the lookout for that soon. I’ll be down in Canberra for the ACT Jam this month so come and say g’day! Can’t wait to see all the guys and have some good times.
Also the new 2020 DVD “That’s What’s Up” just came out and it is unbelievable. Shout out to Troy Charlesworth, Matt Holmes and everyone involved for the great job. Hit the 2020 site here and download it for just 5 bucks. If that’s not enough, in the bonus section, the man himself Shane Batchler has a clip of the best tail whip to abubaca you will probably ever see haha.
Till next time,
We’re very stoked to announce a new comer to the team with Nathan Sykes who has just moved to California in recent months abut already finding himself very much at home.
