One of the nicest and most humble people I know checks in!

“I am doing good over here in Portland and its bike season, so perfect to work in a bike shop and exhausting at the same time, I could use another pair of hands on my body. I’ve been riding heaps in the last couple months and we’re still filming for my next edit which is going to be out by the end of the summer. we’re taking our time with it to film quality stuff and because we have so many skateparks around here it’s worth it to get footage from heaps of different parks and spots.

I also had a photo shoot for a new camera lens called “baby lens” which is a crazy thing and i’ll send a photo of it as soon as I get one. I attached a random shot from riding Burnside park in the morning the other day and another one of riding this backyard mini which especially Clint and Bobby would love to play around with.

Other than working and riding I am going to start doing workshops with plenty of kids at this new indoor park that opened a couple months ago and I am looking forward to have fun with the kids and you know that if I tell them how to do a whip, they’re probably doing doubles in no time hahaha damn kids 🙂 well that was it, thanks for reading, have fun and be safe everyone! cheers, Paddy.”

Nuke & Millar were out filming on the weekend for the upcoming DVD from Stewart Munro – Coppin’ It Sweet. That rail that Nuke is doing a crooked on, is his first ever crooked grind. Not bad for a kid who only learnt to pedal a bike a short two years ago. Damn kids.

Brandon shot through a couple solid photos from the past couple weeks. Brandon tells me it’s been a constant battle with the weather of late which sounds exactly like Melbourne right now. This kid seriously has style for miles!

Both Anton McGuirk & Peta Shepherd made seperate journey’s to the recent worlds in Cologne, Germany only to be rained out. Here are some words from Peta on her trip…

The comp park finals got cancelled… It was raining to much. So I didn’t even get to ride…. Sucked!! But I got to meet Hoffman and Haro which made up for it a little.Some of the girls that entered got to ride the indoor that was close by, for a girls only 2hrs session on Saturday. It was really rad riding with that many amazing bmx girls.

Peta Shepherd is over in Canada for a few months & she sent in a quick update. Read on below to see what she has been up too of late…

So far Canada has been awesome! I’ve just been riding heaps and sight seeing a little. Last week Kiera and Steven (Moxley) took me on a road trip up to Ottawa, it was a really fun time. Steven had a demo with Craz-E-Crew on Canada day, the 1st of July, and I was allowed to join in. They have a 9ft quarter and cool box jump. After dark we got to let off backyard fireworks, which I had never done before. These are just a couple of pics from the week – Peta.

This is awesome. Ave BMX who hold down & do a great job distributing our products in Poland took their team on a road trip & this is the end result. …Dean Anderson, this kid has been killing it for a while now down in Victoria. If you’ve ever been to The Shed or watched the web video below you know Dean is good on his bike but he is also a down to earth good kid so we are stoked to have him apart of the team repping Colony for us down south. Be on the look out for more from Dean soon but for now check his new setup and the web video he dropped a few months back.

Like 3 times in the last two weeks, the worst was when I tried a wheelie with a city bike and the front wheel came off and I did a faceplant haha.

Valvo recently went on a bit of a trip and he sent through this update from it…

“I went on a trip in Londrina-Paraná, my friends have a good bike shop in the city called OpenBikeShop, they invited me to a Mini ramp session inside of the Shop. We had a jam and bunnyhop contest and it was really fun day.

The day before I went to the Kamaka trails, probably the best trails I’ve been to in Brazil. I just want say thanks for all local’s put some hard work there.”

Pete Radivo is a machine. He recently met up with Stewart Munro & clocked 20 clips & 5 runs in one riding session. Knowing Pete, they would all be banging clips too. He has been on point for as long as I can remember & just seems to be getting better all the time. We miss you over here in the states Pete, wish you could’ve come !!
