Broc Raiford just got back from the Free Flow finals but didn’t get to ride the comp due to hitting his head pretty hard in practice & being advised not ride in his condition. He is all OK and did manage get these pics before the fall.

These few pics here pretty much sum up the weekend just gone up here. Zac killed the Botanical Gardens rail in the city with this over ice. Then smashed his face on a messed up gap to second stage tooth hanger on another rail. Everyone got pretty loose at Spinal Disorder. Way too much alcohol was drank over the weekend. Oh, and a little riding went down too. Good times.

Attila Godi our flow team rider from Hungary has been busy it seems. He just got back from a contest called The Pannonian Challenge. He said it was a blast & he had fun. Check the pics. Attila also met up with Shane Badman whilst there & we will have a little mini video interview with Attila in the coming weeks. Check back soon.

Just as of an hour ago Alex Hiam secured himself his first overall Core Series championship win. After the last few years of getting runner up he got it together today to win with some amazing riding. It’s crazy to think what he will be doing in the years to come & I can’t wait to see it all take shape.
Congrats again Alex, you deserve it mate !!

The latest Spinal Disorder is coming to the Gold Coast on August 30th in conjunction with the Gold Coast show. Should be pretty huge. We will have plenty of our team riders there to shred the mini. There will also be a bunch of Colony goodies up for grabs as prizes. Should be fun. Click here for the full details.

On the weekend Alex Hiam, Mark Mathews-Frederick & myself travelled up north to Maryborough on a little roadtrip.
First we dropped into Gympie to stretch our legs & rode the park they have there. Not much to ride but was still a fun time. After there we headed to Woodgate as I heard about a concrete mini ramp there. This thing is amazing. So smooth & really good transitions. There were even a bunch of kangaroos hanging out in the field by the ramp. So Aussie.
That night we stayed in Maryborough with all the crew from Brisbane & the Gold Coast that were up for the trails jam the next day. It was a fun night of talking smack & having a few drinks.
The next day was all about the trails. These things are so much fun & a huge shout must go to the locals up there for their amazing efforts on these over the years. I didn’t get any pics of the trails but I am sure some will pop up somewhere soon.
On the way home we dropped in for a quick swim at a local river & I mean a really quick swim. The water was damn freezing !! After our swim we dropped into Nambour to ride the park there. Good times. Nambour is actually has the very first ramp I ever rode way back in 1988.
Getting away from the usual is always a good time & if you’re bored of your local, go get some mates, get in the car & go on a little road trip. You wont regret it.

I’ve been super busy and about to get real crazy, I’m at X Games right now the course is amazing. I can’t wait. Yesterday was a big day, it was the HB Nike 6.0 comp were I came away with 1st place, I’m so pumped. I really liked the course, the beach vibe and every thing fell into place. Check out the video on ridebmx.com, it shows the 95.5 point run. This week I’m also doing an ASA box jump comp which I’ve already won one early this year. I’ll keep you posted on how everything goes this week. On other news I just got twitter.com and facebook.com so come add me and follow what I’m up to. Well I’m off to practice X Games. Have fun – Ryan.
Here are the first pics of Ryan’s new Official bars & Forks for 2010. Shown in Matt Black, Candy Red & Silver Storm. Also available in White & Purple Storm. The bars you can also get in Chrome. These will be available in September around the world.

Yesterday the finals went down & it was a real success. Riding wise it all came down to a Colony head to head with Simon & Shintaro. Simon came out on top by 1 point for the win. A big thanks go to all those that organised the series & to all those that rode in it. Next series should be even bigger & better. Check back later this week for a short video of the day.
