Hey guys, Danny Josa, Dustin Orem and myself started things off at Paul Langland’s place when we first arrived on Friday . The following day Saturday Paul had invited all the local New Zealand riders out to shred his yard for a day Jam. Sun was shining with kicks outs and moto whips!
The following day we had to take off to make our way down to the South Island for the Farm Jam. With a few stops at skateparks and dirt jumps along the way we figured the trek would take us about 4 days, giving ourself a a comfortable lead to the Farm.
Before crossing the ferry ride over to the South Island we stopped in a city called Reefton were there is one of the oldest skateparks in New Zealand! Coordinating with a few local riders from my previous trip two years ago, we were greeted with the park filled with bike riders. Shredding bikes with the local kids was epic experience.

Once we had left Reefton the weather had turned for the worst. Temperatures from the 30’s had drop to 10-15 celsius with stormy conditions.. Once we crossed over from the north Island to the South. We had landed in a city called Picton.

Stormy conditions had continued to spread throughout our journey to the Farm Jam. Due to the terrible weather the main coastal road to Queenstown was shut down! Debris and trees were scattered across the roads forcing us to detour 5 hours inland and shoot on down.

Along with the cold conditions I managed to catch a fever.. Being sick at this point was not ideal while traveling but managed to stay warm under the unique shelters while on the road to Farm Jam.

Driving all day Thursday we arrived at the Farm around 10pm. We set up camp and my sickness was just the beginning of something worse…

Waking up Friday morning at the Farm Jam was like a toss up in the washing machine. At this point rain had greeted us along with myself now having flu like sickness. Practice was called off due to the dirt jumps being way too muddy to ride. With priorities to keep the jumps dry by the boys, I am over here trying to hydrate and flush this virus out of me.

As Saturday falls upon us, the event Farm Jam is kicking off! A few thousand people are now starting to show up to the event. Friends and family are now taking course to watch the madness go down! The energy created is a surreal feeling with excitement of anticipation to see the BMX, Moto and Mtb contest.

As for me I am lethargic, weak and disappointed. I have come this far across the world to ride. Trying to stay positive I have 1 hour before the Bmx contest starts. I am now truly manifesting my abilities to ride… As I gather my strength get my myself together, I start to have clarity.

I decided to pad up and walk up to the course where all the riders were posted up waiting to drop in for the Jam.
4 o’clock comes around and I manage to have enough focus that I will take a few runs to see how things go.
As my name is announced I drop in and the jam in now in session. Gaining confidence through every jump I hit I start throwing a few tricks.

The line started small with two kicky jumps that lend into a super booty right hand hip. Landing high you were welcomed with a left hand long in low jump feature than gained a ton of speed to explode off a straight 4 meter step up jump. Once landed you were cooking on in to a giant right hand roller that dropped you like a high speed roller coaster! Lining you now up for a 7 meter booster jump! So much hang time for any trick!

At the end of the day my health improved and all the riders walked away healthy as well from the weekend

I met up with Nathan Sykes and Victor Salazar for a day in the sun at Stephen Murrays trails and then onto the Hood Rich trails. Thanks to the guys for letting us have a session we really appreciated it. Check the video below along with the photo feature from the day right here.

Wow this is shot really well. The first half has some good riding and some great scenery, the last half is at the farm jam with some amazing riding including Victor Salazar killing it the entire time…

Earlier this week we spent the day hitting a couple different sets of trails with Nathan and Victor. More photos and a video dropping soon.

Victor has a few solid clips throughout this video from the Boozer jam at Sheep Hills that went down on the weekend.

Nathan Sykes, Anthony Napolitan and Victor Salazar visited Sanctuary rest and ride prior to throwing a jam at Mosqueda bike park in Fresno CA. While at sanctuary they were able to visit Yosemite and ride an amazing skatepark in a neighboring mountain town.

The jam was an amazing, all the locals were in high spirits and killing it, on the way home the guys stopped in Visalia to get a few lines in
and heaps of locals turned out for the session, It was a real good session.

Victor is still over in New Zealand and over the weekend at the Gorge Road trails jam he took home a joint win with Dawid Godzik of the best rider of the day. Victor would be seriously loving life right now having hit those trails.

With the rain coming down the first day Victor was in Melbourne we decided to hit up The Shed indoor park for a session. Victor really loved the place so we filmed a bunch of clips and snagged some photos from the session.

Hey guys! Wanted to shoot you over a update on what I’ve been up too.

A few weeks back I received a email from this company whistle sports, proposing if I would be a rider for a week long urban bmx video project. Finding out more details as our conversation continued, the bmx project will be 1 of many episodes premiered on this App called (Go90); Powered by Verizon wireless. After much detail about the project, the location for the film was revealed… A abandoned Hotel that was hosted for 1983 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo. Better know as the country of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Raising some curiosity on where this county is on world map, Bosnia is located in the southeast of Europe on the Balkin peninsula. After agreeing to the deal, I come to find out two of my great friends were contacted also for this opportunity as well. Danny Josa and colony team mate Jackie Straiton!

Once arriving to Sarajevo airport, I was welcomed with the crisp winter weather with temperature as low of 25° and midday highs of 40° to 45° Fahrenheit. Once unpacking my bags in my hotel room, I met up with the boys Danny and Jackie.
We then all made our way to the abounded hotel location were we are meant to film. This photo below is 1 of the hotel’s that was hosted for the 1984 Winter Olympic games, here in Sarajevo, “Yugoslavia” — Less than a decade after the ogames, the Bosnian War tore Yugoslavia apart. Literally and figuratively… Lasting for four years between 1992 and 1996, the Siege of Sarajevo was the longest siege of a capital city in the history of modern warfare.

With custom ramp coronation with Ramp Riders out of Copenhagen, Denmark we had ramps build in and around the abandoned hotel.Below are some photos from the location. Jackie whipping over a 2 story high building to building 15 foot gap. We also shot a few pics in the city of Sarajevo!

Our very own Chris Bracamonte put together this video for RIDE BMX of the recent Shred The Rez comp/jam that went down at Pala park in California. Keith Treanor had a big hand in making this day happen so I am stoked to see it all went well. Both Victor and Alex have clips throughout..

Victor is fairly new to the team but he wasted no time putting in work filming for his first Colony part whilst on a trip in Vancouver along with some local clips in California. Thanks to Bracamonte for helping finish the filming on this one…

If you follow us on Instagram or on here you would know a few of us went to Canada for a week to ride some of the amazing places the guys have over there. We also hung out at the Kirkstone jam/comp which Victor actually won. Bracamonte, Nathan and Victor all have clips in this video from the day.

We have been flowing Victor some parts for a little while now through Epic Bmx and he was good enough to send over some real nice shots that Bryan Decker took. Those trails look amazing…
