Shintaro Misawa recently visited the Philippines for a flatland event there & ended up taking out 2nd place. Congrats mate !! Shintaro really has had a great year on the worldwide flatland circuit & I am excited to see what he has in store for 2010. He also recently got himself a new sponsor in the form of Newcircle out of Australia.

… Cooper Brownlee !! Cooper has been an integral part of Colony for almost 12 months now being our art director & will now officially join the team as a pro rider as well as our team manager. He will be in charge of looking after the team worldwide, planning our team trips all over the planet & basically looking after everything to do with the team’s needs. Cooper will also take the role as our official photographer & videographer which will be a great asset to have.

The entire team along with myself, welcome you with both arms mate & I am really looking forward to the years ahead.

Alex Hiam, Nick Richardson, Tom Stretton & myself all went down to Shane Conlon’s comp at his local on the weekend & it was a really fun time. Shane organised the event to raise awareness of the fact that Coffs Harbour needs it’s own ramp park, as it is well behind other regions in the area.

Alex ended up killing it & got 2nd place & $500 for his efforts while Shane ended up winning, showing he really is unbeatable on his home turf. A big shout out must go to Shane for all his efforts in organising the weekend.

We also rode a local full pipe which was a bit of fun & got up to plenty of party antics during the night. Good times in general.

Tim Wood & his partner recently had a baby boy on the 6th of December. Elijah John Wood was born 7 pounds 13 ounces & 54cm tall. Both Mum & baby are healthy & well. Tim says he makes the right noises when taken out near the ramps, so we could have another rider spinning 900’s in the years ahead. Congratulations to you both !!

All workshops are on Saturdays and run from 10am to 11.30 for beginners then 11.30 to 1pm for a BMX jam session.
