Paddy Gross sent in a quick update of what he has been up to since his visit down under last month…
So after my amazing Australian experience I am back in Germany and things started getting pretty much back to normal. I am working again and already started to save up again for my next Australian trip hopefully very soon. I miss the whole team cause everyone treated me like we’ve been friends for years and that’s what Colony is about. I remember when Clint said “I want you to be a part of the Colony family” Now I know what the “Colony family” is about, it’s about fun, friends, smiles, love, adventures, ideas and being authentic.
So I am getting ready for the season and for now all I am doing is riding demos. Last weekend I’ve been in town where I grew up and after two years I’ve had a good sesh at my local skatepark and at a new indoor place which just opened a couple month ago. Well I’ve taken heaps of memories from the good times in Australia and they make me smile everyday.
Thanks again to Clint Millar & Glen, the whole team, the bike shops and the beautiful Australian country for making me have one of the most amazing times in my life. Cheers! Paddy.

Zac Miner emailed in with a little update on what he has been up too since his close call with a White Tailed Spider bite recently. He is back on the bike now, read on below.
So the last week has been abit fun, been spending my time in Canberra/Queanbeyan just resting up after gettin outta hospital. Hanging out with the Queanbo girls, always a laugh! Went to Nitro Circus last night ha, kinda surprise me how good it kinda was, alot of flips but non the less all the guys moto or bmx threw down. By the end of the night 3 people including Travis Pastrana, were in hospital. About to get on the plane today to get back to Melbs and take off to Adelaide, can’t wait. Anyways holla y’all.

Simon has been traveling a bit lately, mainly over in Japan. He recently popped up to Brisbane to film with the guys, thanks to Copp’in it Sweet for the images…
On the long drive from Melbourne to Brisbane a few weeks back we stopped in at a cool new park in NSW called Swansea.
Just a few clips of Zac Miner, Cooper Brownlee and Liam Zingbergs hitting it before the rain set in.
Filmed by Cooper and Zac, sorry about the extra wind blowout in the audio, the external mic broke the day before and it was super windy…
To celebrate the official opening of the new park at Wallsend in NSW, there is going to be a huge jam for all to come ride & have a great day. April 10th is the day & there will even be a few of our team riders down there as well. See you there !! Proudly supported by Drift Bikes along with many other fine people.

Random photo of Marnold from last year that I forgot about until i saw it on his facebook, lofty three to fakie in Melbourne…
I like coming over here to Taiwan. I usually come to visit my agent & the factories around 4 times a year. I am here once again for the international bike show putting the final plans in place for the 2012 ranges, which will be out in September around the planet. More on those in the months ahead.

The view from my hotel window of the world’s second tallest building, Taipei 101. This building never get’s old to look at, so crazy tall it has to be seen to be believed.
With recent events in Japan, I would like to express our concerns for anyone affected in the tragedy, our thoughts are with you.
Simon O’Brien has been over in Japan for the past 6 weeks or so & just got back home. He travelled around the country a fair bit doing the tourist thing. He didn’t take his bike but had a great time seeing the sights. He even dropped into see our Japanese Distributors head quarters. He also checked out a shop called Decade & hung with the locals. Here are some words from Simon…
Here’s some pics from my trip to Japan, was a great time seeing more of the country and culture. Made my way up to Hokkaido, the snow is amazing like everyone says it is. Also made my way down to Kyoto and Nara where Colony distro is based. Did some shop appearances and caught up with friends, it was cold but a great time!

A while ago we released the news that we were doing some very limited edition frames made by FBM in the USA. Well, all good things come to those who wait & finally after many delays, the frames are getting close. Below is a photo of them tacked up & ready for welding. They should be available in about another 2-3 months tops but better late than never I say.
There will only be 50 frames produced & only available in Australia with some possibly available in France through Unleaded in very small numbers. Get in quick with your local dealer if you want to secure yourself one.

Brock Olive has been on the road now for close to a month straight now. Starting with our Colony trip & now he is on the Dishonour trip. Not bad for the kid who had pretty much never left Ipswich until now.

Peta Shepherd scored herself a wall paper image over on the Ride BMX site. Click here now to download it yourself in full size.
In other Peta news, she is healing up well from her crash a few weeks ago. She even rode some demos last weekend. One tough girl !! Still will be a while before all her dental work is completed so still a long road to recovery ahead for her. We are still working on the fund raiser tee shirt for her too, more on that once it’s ready.
