Luke Parker update

Luke Parker shot through an update from his time off work…

“Hey guys, I did plenty of riding over Christmas at the skateparks just working on a few new little things. I went back to work Monday so I’ve been getting them late night sessions in and destroying myself trying to learn grind combos on a flat rail!”

Welcome to the team: Justin Care

Pottstown, Pennsylvania resident Justin Care is the newest addition to the family over in the USA. Justin has been doing good things for a few years now with his parts sponsor Merritt and we wanted to help him out with a few things aswell to keep his bike rolling nice and smooth.

I can’t wait to work with Justin on some more projects in the future so been on the lookout for things to come from this kid. His team page will be up very soon. Thanks to @ryanscottphoto for the photo.

David Pinelli video

A couple weeks ago we announced that we were helping out Perth based rider David Pineli. Well today Bret Trigg was cool enough to shoot over this video he made of David for Enough Threads. David kills it with some crazy dipped 3 style and a deep bag of tricks.

Polly video

Our buddy Polly just dropped this dialed video of him riding a few of his local parks, reppin’ Sealy’s Cycles which is where he works out in Frankston, Victoria. Props to Aidan Rice for filming and editing this.

Ricky Catanzariti video

As we posted the other day, Ricky is getting some flow from us for killing it on a bike over in Adelaide. Then the next day he drops a random web video he filmed over the past month or so, killing it.

Ricky Catanzariti

A while ago Matt from Little Black Bike was telling me about this new kid down in Adelaide who was showing some good promise of being a possible rider for us here at Colony. We started to flow Ricky Catanzariti some product through the shop & now he has progressed into an official flow team member. We are stoked to have him on board & the fact Little Black Bike are down with him speaks words for us. Look out for more from Ricky in the new year, the kid is going to make some noise. We are stoked to have him in the family.

Peta Shepherd video

Thanks to Tristan Montagu we have a fresh new Peta Shepherd video to show. Peta is currently recovering from a broken collarbone but was able to finish up her latest edit. Also a special shoutout to Primary Threads for helping Peta out with some freshness

Dane’s Jam

A few of us headed to the Dane Searls trails jam in Canberra yesterday. It was a dialed session with everyone getting crazy on the jumps. A few people came un stuck including Bayzand but I think all that did would still be stoked that they were apart of the day. I know Luke Parker was doing these cannonball’s.

Welcome to the team – Luke Parker

We would like to welcome Luke Parker to the family. Luke has been killing it over in Australia for the past couple years and is currently living over in California hitting everything he can whilst he is there. Something that stood out for me with Luke is that he rides everything, be it park, street or dirt this kid can do it and do it well. It seems as long as he is on his bike he is happy and that is enough for us to want to help him out. Be on the lookout for a welcome video very soon.

Valvo steps down from the team

Today is a sad, sad day. Our great long term friend Henrique “Valvoline” Castro, has decided to step down from the team & take a back seat on BMX in general. Saying he needs to focus his life in different directions & concentrate on the more serious things in life. He also says he would rather give his spot on the team to a new, younger rider in Brazil who has more energy than he does for BMX right now. I expect you will still see him on a bike around but just not in the public eye as much.

It will feel empty not hearing from him with his travels in Brazil but I guess all good things do come to an end eventually. It’s been a great time having him on the team over the past 4 years or more my friend. You’re family for sure & this news has taken us all by shock. We are going to miss you mate !!

Click here to check out all the news posts from Valvo over the years. Thanks for the good times mate !!

Keep an eye on our site here as we work with Dream BMX in Brazil to find a new team rider. News soon we hope !!

Jack Kelly

Jack has been collecting some serious footage for his next web video, this may not be the craziest of moves but he was hyped on getting a photo of it and I am stoked on how it came out.

Antipodes

Tom, Dean and Mick all pop up in this left overs section from the recent Antipodes DVD from the French magazine Soul. The DVD was filmed from a months trip 5 French riders took to Australia.

Bruno Faucon at Street Line

Bruno features throughout this video from the BMX Avenue Street Line contest which looks like it was a good time. Bruno scored 3rd in best trick for 2 of the rail comps which was great to see.

More from Brazil

Valvo sent through some more photos from the Brazil comp that the guys hit up. Like I said the other day, the guys have been having a blast thanks to our great distro over there Dream BMX. The guys are setting off on a little roadtrip for a few days before heading home, look out for more updates from the trip soon.

Off to Brazil

Ryan Guettler, Chris Courtenay & Clint Millar are off to Brazil this week to meet up with Valvo & ride a mini ramp contest organised with our good mates at Dream BMX. Should be a blast for the guys with a small road trip planned after the event for a few days as well. Look out for updates here while the guys are there.
