We had a pretty solid weekend here in Melbourne with the sun shining both days. Jack as always went in hard and came out with a few solids but paid the price on multiple occasions for doing so.
We just cooked up a couple more wallpapers for download, You can grab the Alex Hiam one here and the Jack Kelly image here to freshen up your desktop background.
This week I’m out of São Paulo (my city). I decided going to Belo Horizonte-MG, for a little trip and make a visit to my friend André Delgado, He’s local and know’s all the spots. So good because after recovering from a hand injury he’s back in the game again.
Paddy shot through an update of the latest happenings over in portland…
G’Day everyone, hope you all are happy and healthy. Here’s a little something of what I’ve been up to in the last few months. I’ve recovered very well from my broken ankle and got the official OK from my surgeon to go ahead and do my thing with riding. I’ve had a good chance to do that on our Colony trip to Woodward and thanks again for having me there. So now back in Portland I am working in a bike shop, running the BMX section. I’ll be going to California in a few days to visit Clint, check out the new Colony distro and have a riding sesh with the guys down there. That’s pretty much it, thanks for reading, enjoy yourselves and stay healthy. Much love, Paddy.
Cooper is a man of many jobs within Colony & I would be lost without him. I am amazed at how he can do so much & do it all so well. On point with everything he does, this new Focalpoint video is no exception. Check it out & look out for clips from Marnold,Jack & even Coops himself.
Jack Kelly spent the evening filming with Troy Charlesworth for his soon to be released 2020 dvd. I can tell you first hand this is going to be a great watch!
This was a nice treat this morning as I opened my emails. Shuhei who rides for us in Japan just dropped this web video via the local Addiction crew. Shuhei has alot of creativity when he rides and it’s web videos like this that make me want to get off the computer and out there for a session.
Valvo is the man in Brazil. He is one of the nicest guys you could ever meet & a gun on a bike. Check out his latest edit filmed in Brazil by Felipe Correa. Stoked on this one.
Dream BMX in Brazil hold things down for us down there & are BMX through & through. Much love as always to Marcelo & Andre.
Yesterday afternoon I met up with Dean to film some clips for his next web video. Things were going good up until he crashed hard on a flip tuck to bars and got knocked out. So glad Dean wears a helmet, no doubt he will be back in no time but damn it was rough at the time.
From Peta‘s Instagram I knew she was up to something…
I haven’t been getting out on the bike as much as I’d like, because right now I’m training for a triathlon at the end of September. But managed to get a rad ride in at Millar’s backyard on the weekend. Best mini ramp ever by the way. Thanks to Jesse for the photos.
Over in Russia we flow Stas some product and the guys just sent over this video of him smashing out some solid moves. Bars to nose to manual bars in was real cool.
Attlia Godi from Hungary sent through this mixtape he put together recently of crew during the years of 2008-2010. I love video’s like this because it gives you a good insight into other scene’s from across the world. Some pretty rough crashes in the intro aswell.
Mycek always comes through with some great footage in his web video’s and this one is no exception. Filmed by Filip “Piastun” Malina. Aditional by Bartek Checinski , Mateusz “Usz” Kanownik , Mike Miller & Mack Back. Put together by Mycek himself. Poland has some spots!
Last week in Melbourne at Rampfest saw the Fox Pro comp go down where a lot of heavy hitters were in appearance. Both Chris and Dean were in the mix and killed it! This video has footage of both the guys going in hard.
Shane sent through an update on what’s been happening with him, always something cool going on…
Hey peeps! I’m over in Perth right now for a few days before I head out to Europe and Hungary where I’ll be living for the next few months. Bike packed and everything is sorted, can’t wait to get over there! Before I left I did a small piece for a magazine that goes around regional Victoria called “The Milk Mag” in the current issue, 19. Pretty stoked on it and the article talks about interesting jobs so being in BMX is definitely something worth a read that everyone needs to know about! You can pick it up in most newsagents I’m told so check it out. Don’t forget to hit me up on Instagram @shanebadman
We put together a video to show everyone the highlights of the 2014 Colony Endeavour along with some riding from a few of the team guys. These bikes are available now in Australia with the rest of the world getting them in September.
Valvo travelled a few hours from Sao Paulo in Brazil to ride the Cosmo trails jam. He let us know it was a real solid day riding for 8 hours straight which is always a good sign of a good day out on the bike.
After Votorantim Dirt Contest, My focus was on the (Bmx Masters) in the Germany.
before I had been given application for visa renewal into the U.S. but has not been approved to date, and for worse situation, my passaport stayed inside the U.S Cônsul. I can’t travel for a while.
For one time I felt so much frustration.
Now I can’t travel so I started the gym tog et stronger for riding .. I had fixed some parts of my trails and Skatepark and back in my projects on my web videos.
I got some shots with my friend Renan Souza X Polaroid Underground.
In my local spots .. Then I did with my crew a new kick on 45º is fun to ride.
Polly has been a big supported of Colony for a few years now and after flowing him some goods he came through with a creative 10 clips at one of his local parks, Mt Eliza.
Jack dropped a really solid web video a few weeks back in conjunction with TCU. It had a good response which was great to see, well we put together a B-Roll video consiting of crashes, 2nd angles and un-used footage. Jack went in hard.
We are very excited to announce the Follow the Lines Tour which will be commencing next week. This is basically a filming trip along with getting to hang out with a lot of new riders around the country. Being that it will be school holidays we will be visiting a few stores along the way and their local parks & trails even. Make sure you get out to one of the sessions at the shops and local park for plenty of giveaways!
For everyone in between, we will no doubt be hitting up more parks and spots, so keep an eye on our Instagram to see where we are are to catch up for a roll. Can’t wait for this to begin!
A good chunk of the team will be on various parts of the trip and we even have Brandon Van Dulken (Canada) and Jourdan Barba (USA) coming out for it! Both of which have never been here before, so that will be a treat for them & us !!
Cooper, Marnold and Jack drove 2 hours to ride this spot yesterday and from what I am told they made the most of it! Rhys Yeomans sent us through this cool shot he took.
As the long weekend kicks in for most of us in Australia, here are a few of my personal favourite web videos that we’ve dropped lately which hopefully helpes you get motivated to go out and ride, enjoy time with friends and maybe film a clip or two…
Almost a year to the day we spent 5 days filming at Woodward West and although I basically didn’t get to ride at all it was a really amazing week filming with the guys on the trip and hanging out with the guys I don’t get to see that often like Ryan, Paddy, Jourdan and Brandon it really added to an already awesome vibe we had going on.
As soon as Jack made the move to ride for Colony we went in on the filming missions travelling to Adelaide twice, all around melbourne and a trip or two to Canberra and 6 months later this came out. The kid crashes more then anyone I know but makes sure he gets it’s done in the end.
Alex Hiam went in hard on this from a few trips to Melbourne along with filming in his home town of Brisbane. The progression throughout the filming process was amazing and I enjoyed every minute of being out filming with Alex
