Clint was fortunate enough to have his operation last night and things went as well as they could so that’s good news.
The rest of us went out today and rode the best ditch I have ever ridden in my life. Fun was had, alot of water was drunk and clips were filmed! The photo below is from a spot we hit yesterday which is one of those million in one spots (we have hit a few of them this week) the tree roots have lifted this sidewalk up enough to have a good pop for riders to shred it. Tom gets his game on…
After an awesome day out riding, literally last spot of the evening we were riding Clint unfortunately landed wrong on an up rail to 180 which resulted in a pretty bad leg break. I can’t upload photos from the day until tomorrow so for now here is a photo from happier times for Millar at the first spot we hit out of Vegas a couple of days ago. He is having surgery tonight we hope so i will keep all posted.
Note: Anyone out there that is possibly awaiting email replies please be patient. Thanks.
During the week I spent a couple days riding around Canberra with Zac Miner shooting photos and enjoying some sunshine! Here is a left over shot which I actually really really like from the last spot we hit on the mission. If you havn’t already seen it, make sure you check out Zacs recent web edit.
This is our most recent advert in the new issue of DIG which is out now. We shot this photo with Chris Courtenay a week before he blew out his knee a few months ago now. Chris will be back rolling in a couple of months.

Well today went off without a hitch, everyone seemed to have a good time and the crew you see below were the top three after all was said and done! New flow rider Liam Zingbergs came in first along with Daniel Johnson (right) second and Macca (left) in third. Daniel Johnson also won best trick. Thanks to everyone who came out for the event and to everyone who made it possible. The next King of the Jibs will be in Brisbane on the 9th-10th of October later this year.
We spent all day setting up the course that we had already build for the event, We had a quick test ride and it works really well! Little tight but all good. So make sure you come out tomorrow and check the comp out! You can get more info here about the comp, here for the address and transport info. Oh and also under 18’s get into the tradeshow for free! Practice is at 12.30 and the comp starts around 2pm. See you there!
South Australian shredder Liam Zingbergs recently got added to the flow team, you can now check his bio out here, long long nosey…
Our flow rider from the UK, Jonny Devine was in Australia a couple of months ago with some of his crew. They made a fun edit from there time here, good vibe in this…
Danny Heng has been added to our international flow team with the helps of the good folks at Twenty Inch Circle in Singapore. If you’re in Singapore, Malaysia or any other surrounding countries in the area, make sure you contact Simon at Twenty Inch as they will look after you with all things Colony.
As you would know by now the King of the Jibs comp is coming up in a few weeks. We started work on the angle and rails for the course today, It’s all starting to come together and I am looking forward to seeing it all layed out and not piled up in our carport.
Here Shane Badman gives you a run down of the location of the finals for the Newcircle DownUnderground series. Happening in Redcliffe Queensland on the 28th of August.
Zac Miner shot me an email today letting me know how his knee was going, you may remember he dislocated it when we were in France a couple months ago. Well Miner tells me that it’s getting better but not 100% yet, some days its fine then other days not so fine. hopefully he is back in action for the King of Jibs in a few weeks! The photo below is from a few months ago at a very unique spot we were fortunate enough to ride.
I build the last bank for the comp today, this is the closest thing to transition you will see in the course. Just got the rails and coping to go! Check here for all the info about the comp.
This is quite interesting, if you ever wondered what the two black bands on Ryan’s forearm meant well have a watch as he talks about how important they are to him.
We have been out and about alot lately rolling around town here in Melbourne. Quite a famous spot this one. Marnold was psyched to learn new moves…

Liam Zingbergs has been riding for Colony through his local store Little Black Bike for a while now but we recently decided to make it official and put Liam on the flow team. Keep an eye out for a team page in the near future along with no doubt some solid edits from this young street shredder. This edit from nine months ago is pretty rad also.

Simon O’Brien sent through some news about a recent exhibition he was apart of….
“Not long ago I was part of an art exibition in Venice, Italy. the topic was spinning. A backwheel spin shot in a grimy location played back in super slow mo. The exibition was then recently turned into a hard cover book. It’s always fun to be part of one of Sydneys most young, contemporary and outstanding visual artists Shaun Gladwell’s projects!”
Don’t forget to check out Simons latest DVD Dejavu.

The other night we went over to an indoor mini setup that Pete Radivo frequents and he killed it! You may remember this recent edit we did with Pete at the same place. This superman seat grab is rediculous, the spine is maybe 4 and a half foot high. Nice!

It might be sunny all year round up in Colony HQ land, Queensland. But down south here in Melbourne we sometimes have to retreat to the indoors to escape the rain. Last weekend we had a real fun session at a skater built spot (no beef here as far as I know). It works both ways you see. They skate spots we build and vice versa. Here are a couple photos from the day of myself and Marnold. Thanks to Sam Illman for pressing the button on my photo.

This is our most recent advert which is currently on the back of the new issue of Focalpoint. Marnold riding an amazing spot with no run-up.
