I spent the day hanging out with Polly and Liam earlier this week as Liam was over from New Zealand on a riding holiday. We hit up a few parks and spots in freezing conditions but the rain stayed away so all in all it was a good day…

Hey guys, I just recently went over on a weeks trip to New Zealand with some girlfriends of mine for their birthday. The trip was pretty good, NZ is amazing! Traveling around with three girls, not so amazing! After one forgot her current passport, losing one of their phones and keys to the apartment and crashing the campervan we had, it really put a downer on the trip. Mind you the country is sick, the people are lovely, I’m definitely going back some time soon and having a proper ride.

My biggest advice I can give anyone, make sure you get travel insurance if your traveling anywhere with women ha.

Last update was from Woodward camp that I was riding at to be ready for the big ramps at dew tour in Ocean City over the past weekend. The course was amazing and it flowed well. I planned out a good run for qualifying but 1st run I crashed a double flip, 2nd run I did a whole 45 secs to just get my confidence up again but knew it would not be enough to get in, last run I cased right before the box and changed up my run and didn’t make finals. I happy with how I rode and now I’m back in Cali so time to move on and get ready for the next comps. This month I have vans bowl jam on the beach, recon tour and Ryan’s boot camp at Ohio dreams and the Vans block comp. Also having Andy buckworth staying with me so we are going to do a split monster edit.

Hey guys I’ve been spending a lot of time visiting my new born twin boys Stefan and Abel at the hospital they will be in for a few more weeks they are doing very good and getting healthier! I’ve also been riding and filming whenever I get a chance I have a new edit complete and ready to drop soon that I’ve been filming since the beginning of the year with Larry Alvarado so keep your eyes peeled for that!

We wanted to start a video project featuring as much of the team as possible and with as much diversity possible. Here is the first of many Collective’s.

Tom Stretton looks at most things in riding a little differently to the rest of us. His riding is rather unique & refreshing, he always has something cool to offer no matter what the session is going down on. unfortunately I sprained my wrist when we were filming so I haven’t been able to ride this week!! Lucky I have a nice little Cafe to work at and save $ for when my wrist is better to ride again!!!!

Recently I have been working quite a bit. Along with being sick for a week or so it has made it quite difficult to ride my bike.

I’m still so pumped on how my bike feels everytime I jump on it lately. I built a new Miner frame up and it’s just amazing. Also stoked on my wheels that I think will be out later in the year so keep an eye out for those.

I’m writing a update from Woodward camp and it makes think how crazy that is to say. As a kid I grew up dreaming of Woodward camp I had all the posters on my walls, All the riders I looked up to I ripped out of magazines and tacked them to the wall. And one day I was riding Beenleigh and Colin Mackay was there filming, Colin lived on the other side of Brisbane so it was a treat to see him because he would always go highest over Beenleigh hip.. Before he left he handed out stickers to all the kids like how I thought pros would, he gave me a Woodward sticker and joked you should go there one day. I didn’t know what to do with it, it was too special to put on my helmet or bike because I might never get one again. I framed it with a photo of lot 8 and a photo of the dirt jumps from BMXPLUS. Crazy to think him giving me that sticker has motivated me this much. I’ve been to Woodward over 40 different times now and have the best times here !!! Thanks Col I owe you!!!

I’ve been doing a lot of recon tours and RV trips and see so much talent with in the Bmxers so Iv’e teamed up with the Monster Army program to find theses kids and let them tell their story and see what goals they have on the bike. I think it’s really cool to let them tell their story so it’s not always just about the big tricks.
