We actually had some dry weather in Melbourne on the weekend and Marnold was keen to make the most of it. Opposite crooks, repping his signature bars which are out later this year.

Colony’s California Vacation Part #2 – More BMX Videos

Oskars Zajarskis sent in a quick photo from a recent session & says he has been keeping busy over in Latvia. He also recently got a new fish eye for his Canon so expect a new edit out soon.

Whilst we were in California a few weeks back now, we spent a few days riding and hanging out with Vital BMX filmer Ryan Galvan. He was super cool and we had a ball filming with him. Here is part 1 of the footage we filmed…

If you’ve been following us on Instagram or basically any social media outlet you would probably have noticed that Brock and Liam are in Melbourne. They came down for the Slay the Rails comp and have been staying a few extra days filming for the 2020 DVD along with a web video coming out in the coming weeks. So far so good!

Nuke & Millar were out filming on the weekend for the upcoming DVD from Stewart Munro – Coppin’ It Sweet. That rail that Nuke is doing a crooked on, is his first ever crooked grind. Not bad for a kid who only learnt to pedal a bike a short two years ago. Damn kids.

Good friend and team rider from the USA Jourdan Barba spent some time filming this with Davey Gunn over the past few months. Filmed by Davey Gunn, Edited by Cooper Brownlee.

A couple of days ago I drove through Canberra on my way home from Queensland. I spent the evening with Zac, we filmed a few things at Weston which included this downwhip in a line. Later that night we missioned it, lit up a spot and Zac did a crazy gap to feeble first try (thankfully). You will have to wait a little while until we finish filming his web video but I am hyped for it to be seen.

The next event in the 2012 Canadian Concrete Series is set for this Sunday, August 5th at Brookswood Park in Langley. If you are in the area get yourself along for a great day on the bike.

Zac Miner’s second version of his own signature frame has landed in Australia now & will be in dealers later this week around the country. Other countries will receive theirs in the weeks ahead.

For 2013 the Miner Frame has been refined with a few key features such as smaller drop outs, thicker gauged tubing throughout to withstand even more abuse, slightly taller stand over height & now comes with external gussets on the top & down tubes. Colours available for now are Matte Black & Midnight Blue with Gloss Clear Raw coming in late September.

Brandon shot through a couple solid photos from the past couple weeks. Brandon tells me it’s been a constant battle with the weather of late which sounds exactly like Melbourne right now. This kid seriously has style for miles!

New for the 2013 season is Alex Hiam’s newest version of his signature Sweet Tooth frame. Now coming in 20.6″ TT as well as 19.8″ & 20.3″ there is a size to suit a whole array of riders.

Updates for 2013 include an external down tube gusset along with smaller more refined drop outs. Of course you get all the normal features from our frames including our own unique invest casted removable brake guides. Available in 3 x colours for 2013 Matte Black, Gloss Clear Raw & Matte Orange which is an exclusive colour to the Sweet Tooth within our ranges.

Our good friend Eric Cuiper from over in the USA recently had a rough incident where a drunk driver took him out whilst he was riding home from work. Luckily Barney is going to be ok though and we wish him a good recovery! Barney kills it on the bike and has been good frends with myself and Clint for a while now, much love brother!

The Bicycle Centre in Townsville have been long time supporters of us here at Colony & they carry our full ranges in store. Go see Wez & get yourself some fresh new Colony parts from his extensive stock at hand.

Alex Hiam copped the newest print advert promoting his signature V2 Sweet Tooth frame. This advert is in the current issue of 2020. The photo was shot just a few weeks back when we were at Woodward West.

Our 2013 Endeavour complete bikes are now in stores Australia wide for you to check out in person. We have brought back some favourite colours from seasons past like our Bloody Black (Black with Red splatter) along with some classic colours like Matte Black with Chrome/Polished parts. I’ve spent the past 3 weeks in Brisbane filming a bunch of future web video stuff. Today is my last day here before I start the solo 1,900km drive home. It’s been a blast so I thought I would post up a few photos from some of the times out filming…

Simon shot through a quick update, he always seems to be travelling which is awesome!

“Just flew home from Japan acouple days ago, had a great time catching up with riding friends. Got to see a pretty cool festival the day before I flew out. Now got my sights set on getting ready for the ‘Redbull Circle of Balance’ back in Japan in September.”

I wanted to do a all dirt edit with a glide cam to give it a new style feel that you normally don’t see with dirt edits.
