The weather over there is -2 degrees C at the moment so not much riding happening, just playing with the ice. A little bit different to here of late with 38 degrees C on new years day which was spent on the beach, perfect.

A long time friend of mine, Michael Canfield, had his bike stolen on New Years night from his back porch. Such a low act to steal anyone’s property, especially someone’s bike. If you’re in the Brisbane area keep an eye out for the bike shown below. As of the 1st January, 2009 all our frames & forks will be offered with a one year warranty. This is regardless of any warranty offered previously.

Like most other BMX brands the offering of a lifetime warranty has been removed. We do realise this may cause some difficulties to some out there. But in the event that years from now your frame or fork, does actually fail (like all frames & forks will do given enough time) we will offer you a replacement frame or fork, at a greatly reduced price. We apologise for any troubles caused but please know we will look after you with a great price on a replacement, if or when the time arises.

With 2009 just around the corner I thought I would give you a sneak peak at our team poster/catalogue for 2009. This poster will be available to anyone who shows up on one of the stops of the tour set for January in Australia.

The 2009 Colony BMX & Forgotten tour from Brisbane to Melbourne via Sydney & Canberra for the BMX Games. Check the flyer below for all the tour dates, stops & featured riders on the tour.

The tour is aimed at promoting the release of the Vans / Colony collaboration Whip 2 signature shoe, from Ryan Guettler. Due out in stores in Australia in February & the USA in January.

We will be having appearances at the bike shops listed & will have giveaways at these shops so make sure you get to the one nearest you. Come to the parks listed to have a ride with the crew.
