Tim Wood checks in…

Tim sent over some pics from his recent trip to Singapore. The no handed 540 up the top left corner is the one that took him out. Ouch, that’s gotta hurt coming down on concrete from up there. Tim is all good though. He heads over to the US in a few weeks for the next Dew Tour for vert. Good luck mate.

Product update – LFH Grip

Liam Fahy-Hampton is having his own signature grip come out soon called the LFH

It will be in stores worldwide by early December & will come in the 5 colours shown below – Black, Purple, Laser Green, Silver & Red. It will also come with plastic colour coded push-in style bar ends. They are extra long to accommodate Liam’s huge hands & to look more in proportion on today’s wider handlebars.

World travellers…

Thought I would let you all know of some of the travel plans the team have going on now or very soon…

Tim Wood was in Singapore last weekend for some demos at a brand new concrete park there, it was amazing park according to Tim. He took a bit of a spill on the vert bowl there but is OK.

Nick Richardson is off to the USA for 2 months to stay at Ryan’s house in Greenville. Expect some good things to come from Nick while over there. Nick also recently put together a nice new 2010 Gnarkill Frame.

Zac Miner & Liam Fahy-Hampton are off to China at the end of the month for an invitational comp over there in Beijing. Should be interesting.

Shane Badman is due back to Australia soon after a few years in Europe.

Mick Bayzand is also coming home in October after 18 months in Canada. It will be good to have him back in Australia.

I am off to the US in a couple weeks for Interbike. So looking forward to the Nora Cup party once again, just not the day after.

What a weekend…

These few pics here pretty much sum up the weekend just gone up here. Zac killed the Botanical Gardens rail in the city with this over ice. Then smashed his face on a messed up gap to second stage tooth hanger on another rail. Everyone got pretty loose at Spinal Disorder. Way too much alcohol was drank over the weekend. Oh, and a little riding went down too. Good times.

Shane Badman checks in…

Shane sent in an email on what’s been going on with him. Read on below…

After spending nearly a year in Sweden it was time to get moving. It’s been well over 3 years now since i’ve been living in Europe & i’m starting to lose track of the countries that i’ve visited & lived in. Never forget the riders that i’ve met, nor the riding sessions that i’ve had though… funny how some things stick in your mind?!

I’m in Hungary at the moment just chilling & riding as much as I can. Living in Sweden was great, but winters that last 6 months & very few riders make it tough for any nomadic BMXer. Hungary is awesome for riding. The weather rocks 9 months of the year & all the riders are super motivated – probably a reason I’ve been here every year since 2005. I’ve been staying with one of my good mates, Andras Pentek, who co-owns OG Bike Company. In between him running the business & their shop, we’ve been hitting up spots all over the country including the OG Summer Camp & Contest in Szombathely & visiting riders in a bunch of different cities.

I’ve got another week of riding here & then off to the sunny UK for more riding… stay tuned!
