Shane Badman checks in…

Shane Badman sent in an email about what he has been up to of late…

“After having my arm operation in May to get some issues worked out (I had my bionic, Terminator style arm installed), I’ve been keeping things on the downlow while it’s been healing up. As any rider knows, downtime seriously sucks. When you see all of your mates and everyone around you riding and you can’t… it’s tough! But I’ve been keeping busy with the store over at Newcircle and have done a few interviews on BMXflatlandAustralia and Offline Magazine out of Hungary which was super awesome.

Since I’ve slowly started to ride again in the past few weeks I’ve also been doing a few demos. I did one at the Bike and Lifestyle show in Brisbane and more recently got one done at a company called H2 Insurance Solutions for a launch party. The H2 Insurance gig was awesome – the guy Jason Holmes that runs it is fully down with BMX and action sports and is the guy who does the insurance for Travis Pastrana’s Nitro Circus when it tours Aus and also monster trucks. Stoked that I’m riding again haha!!”

Chris Courtenay checks in…

Chris Courtenay is in Greenville, NC at the moment & he wrote a quick email on what he has been up too…

Been in America for 6 weeks now, still got another 2 weeks left. Greenville is going awesome, been riding everyday. Not too many people in town at the moment, seeing it’s going into winter. It’s sorta better in a way that sessions are really small and the parks aren’t really packed! Also the weather is soo perfect to ride in!

Filmed a ten clip edit with Ryan at Jaycee park a couple of weeks back which I was pretty stoked to film, been wanting to do one for a while but injuries weren’t letting me.

Also Vitamin Water put on a comp at Skatecary which is an hour and a bit away from Greenville. I was fortunate enough to win 1st in the pro section. The park was a lot of fun to ride and it was an awesome day, was stoked.

I attached a photo aswell and cant wait to get back to film some more Colony stuff on this new projects Coops has got going on!

Talk soon mate – Chris.

Bayzand update

Mick sent through an update about his recent travels in the West…

I’ve been lucky enough to the have been invited to do some box jump demos at the Perth Royal Show for 8 days and 8 nights. It was a really fun time and the demos were sick not to mention the amazing fire works display.

I just want to thank Shaun Jarvis from Freestyle Now for hooking this up and all the amazing people I met and rode with for making it such an enjoyable experience.

Now I am traveling all around Perth doing lots of coaching clinics, demos and judging lots of comps so if your in the area come have a shred with me.

Brock Olive – Ten Clips

A new bike…

The last few times I have been at Woodridge skate park for a ride, there has been a young kid there who has always shown some skills on his bike. The bike he had was a real piece of work & he needed something decent big time. We were there on Saturday for a roll & once again, 9 year old Josh was there hanging out. He was still on his old bike & I thought I could help him out some what, so I told him to meet me at the park the next day.

The next morning I went through the warehouse & built him up a bike from spare stuff we had laying around. I was pretty stoked to be able to help him out & he was very stoked for sure. Enjoy the bike Josh & I can’t wait to see you ride again soon.
