So I spent the Easter long weekend up in Canberra filming Zac. Like I said in a previous post things were going well and overall we got some good stuff filmed. Zac took it hard on a hanger down a serious rail and I got taken out on a feeble on the last day but none the less the trip was super fun and we got a few clips. I did forget to bring the outside layer of my tent though but thanks to Zac and Amber we got a tarp setup going on and it worked out well! See you next time Canberra!
Focalpoint #26 is now online for all to enjoy. Check out the feature story on our trip to Adelaide in December of you have not had a chance to do so yet. Below is the video from that same trip if you missed it or feel like watching it again.

We have a new addition to the flow team with Bobbie Altiser joining the ranks for us over in the USA.
I am pretty stoked myself to have another fellow front brake rider on the team. Bobbie always have a fresh approach with his riding which is always welcome. He is moving to Long Beach in the next few weeks so there should be a lot more of his riding getting seen very soon. We will also have a full bike check in the next few days, so check back for that soon.
Once again, welcome to the team mate !!

Micky is always up to something…
“Hi guys just checking in to let you know I’ve been off on some adventures again. Sadly, it was my girlfriends last couple of weeks in OZ and I wanted to do something nice for her and it just so happened I broke a few of my fingers on a recent Canberra trip. So I thought what better time for another holiday road trip.
So we hired one of those vans you live in and hit the road. (I highly recommend this by the way, soooo much freedom and so much fun) First stop was Adelaide to see the fam and all the Adelaide homies, we had a nice BBQ at my parents place, then hit the road again set for the Great Ocean Road.
It’s only supposed to take two days to do it but we had 10 days up our sleeves so we hit up everything from caves to beaches, rain forests, waterfalls, lakes and volcanoes. It was so much fun camping out in the forests again going on mad hikes lazing out on the beach and just experiencing so much stuff, we even had a mad water fight, one for the books I tell ya!
If you live in Melbs or Adelaide or anywhere near there and have never done the Great Ocean Road, I really recommend it and take your time. We definitely had a lot of adventures; good times and saw some amazing sites. But like all good things it comes to an end Kimberly had a great send off and I should hopefully be back on the bike soon.
I am currently working on my frame promo edit witch I am pretty psyched on and a few more things in the works to so be on the look out for some web vids coming soon.
Peace out everyone. Go grind some shit!!”
Spotted this re-mix of Marnold’s recent Focalpoint – The Package clips & thought it was pretty good. Check it out.

This video serves as testament to Brock’s riding abilities & serves as his official welcome to the pro team edit.
I had the pleasure of filming Brock over the past few months whenever I was in Brisbane along with a trip he made down here to Melbourne. Brock is a really fun guy to ride with because he will be keen to hit pretty much anything. Although he is stupidly good at riding bikes, he is very chilled about it all.
Congrats Brock & thanks for putting in the hard work.
Check Brock’s edit below along with a quick Q&A about filming for the edit.
What clip was the hardest to film?
Umm…The switch 50 to over whip because it was the first one I’ve done.
What would have been the most satisfying clip to film?
Probably the switch ice on that red rail.
For you personally were there any firsts for you in this edit? The 360 to smith to whip would have been the first time you’ve filmed that wouldn’t it?
I think probably half the edit was all firsts for me, I always like to film new and different stuff but yeah the 360 smith whip I actually filmed one of them the day before I filmed this one for my edit.
You don’t seem to have an opposite side pegs nowadays, how long have you been running 4 pegs?
Hahaha umm about 6 months I think with 4 pegs.
Any tips for people learning switch grinds?
Lots and lots of trying.
I know when you came to Melbourne one of the main spots you wanted to go to was the yellow flat rail, we also had a bit of a crown when we rode there. Were you happy with what you got at that spot and were the kids an issue for you?
Yeah that spots dope, I was happy with all the clips we got and the kids were fun to mess with they were all just so excited and some of them were telling me to wax the rail, pretty crazy.
Most of the clips we filmed were either on a flat ledge or a rail, what gets you stoked to want to ride those sorts of spots at the moment?
Yeah well since I’ve put 4 pegs on I’ve been grinding heaps more and yeah those spots are fun to grind and good to try and come up with different lines and tricks.
You took a few hard slams aswell, especially in Melbourne. Any of them really get to you?
Hahaha I’m a hack and crash all the time but none of them crashes worried me you just get used to it.
Liam Zingbergs has been killing it for quite some time now & as such proved himself as a worthy pro team candidate.
As of today, Liam is now a firm part of the pro team & we could not be more stoked. Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you would’ve seen his edit from last week. Even so, check it out again.
Once again, welcome to the pro team mate, you’ve earned it.

Our Canadian friends KEA Distro recently went on a team trip and our flow rider Brandon Van Dulken was on hand to shred it. Plenty of good moves in this so make sure you check it out. KEA have the entire range of Colony making it readily available to everyone in Canada, thanks guys!
We fired some quick questions at Stretton to see what he has been up to, check it below and look out for more of these to come with the guys.
We Bought a Zoo. Probably one of my favourite movies now!
A musician you are hyped on at the moment…
Been to listening to a whole heap of Ray Charles Classics. Always stoked on Bobby Womack too.
What did you get up to yesterday?
When Riding with Shane Batchler, Yonny Wakefield and Troy Charlesworth. Batcho clipped two bangers for the 20/20 DVD. So Good!
Last time you came off your bike pretty hard…
Last one that springs to mind was at a curve wallride in the valley. Didn’t pull off the wall properly and came straight down bars in stomach. Glad I had Bar ends on.
Websites you have been hitting up of late…
I always check Colony, Diversity Bmx, CrispyStream and Afray.
Last clip you filmed…
Just finished my LUX edit with Troy the same time Batcho got those 2 clips yesterday. Sort of the same as my last clip in the Colony DVD.
Last meal you ate…
Mums Honey Chicken and Fried Rice. So damn good.
Newest part on your bike…
Just put Teddy bars back on my bike and its the best thing ever. Everything feels good again.
Oldest part on your bike…
Would have to be my cranks or my back hub. I put grease in my back hub ages ago to make it quiet and usually they start slipping after a bit but not Colony one!
Last web video you watched…
Liam Zingbergs FTW!
Last SMS you received…
Ummm not any good ones for a while but the last good one was my sister saying they are expecting another baby. Uncle Tom again haha.
Instagram/Twitter…
Add me to instagram, @teabaggyballs and get me to more followers than the fake Big Salad haha!
It seems ever since Ryan moved to Cali he has being smashing out all sorts of good stuff like this edit and it seems he isn’t slowing down anytime soon, here is a bit of an update…
“This past weekend was the Las vegas Xtreme Thing 2012 dirt comp. Practice was really amazing and the jumps were massive but come the comp day the wind kicked in and no one could get through the jumps so we had a best trick comp on the last jump. We started on the berm and peddled to the last set. It was just like it sounds pretty lame but at least we made something happen. I got a superman flip and a 720, just playing it safe in the wind but I had a good time.
Good mate Jaie Toohey has also moved in so we’re riding alot of dirt everyday, I’ve been showing him some of my spots in Cali and I even got a dirt bike to play on the track which has been really fun, it’s just good to take a day off doing BMX and enjoy something else fast. We have been going to Woodward alot because it’s one of the funnest places on earth that I’ve been to and I am working on a few new stunts for this years comps so I’m keen to show everyone soon.”
Our boy Oskars Zajarskis from Latvia hows some great footage in this split edit with his friend Kristaps Reimanis, the park looks pretty fun aswell!
There is a jam organised by Riding Way at the Riverslide Park in Melbourne City with proceeds going to a good cause.

Jourdan may be new to the family but he is already kicking things into gear, I really love this shot taken by Jeremy Pavia. Download the standard screen size here and widescreen here.
It’s late here Saturday night / Sunday morning but have been watching the live feed from Simple Session in Estonia. Both Chris & Anton rode well in what has to be the worlds toughest comp. Oskars Zajarskis also rode in the comp & repped for us, thanks guys. Should be good to see what happens in the finals.
Update: Anton actually crashed in his runs and has a fracture in his 12 vertebra. He has to return to the UK now and will be off the bike for 2 months. Please rest up mate.
