Glen McLaughlin our warehouse manager, has been away for 5 weeks now with another week to go on a mammoth trip around the states with the infamous Mark Schneider. Here is a little update on their travels…
My trips been going so good, seen so much cool stuff and ridden some amazing spots. We were going through Iowa yesterday and found this gas station called Colony Point. Had to get a photo of it. I attached a couple other pics too. One was from Ray’s MTB park in Cleveland. Place was crazy, anything from fun MTB trails to rhythm box jumps to bowls to weird quarters so big I even got lost on one trail took me a few minutes to find my way back to the front ha ha. On our way to Vegas now for the weekend then grand canyon then back to LA and home sweet home! Talk soon, Glenny.

Hey everyone, just a little update to let you no what’s been going on in my world. A few months back I had a bad crash on my shoulder whilst filming, I had a little time off but got back on the bike soon after even though it still hurt. which I tend to do alot. But over the past few months it has been getting worse and worse to the point were it feels like its going to fall off. Haha
So I made the decision to head back to Adelaide for a while to get it all cheeked out. I’ve spent the last week going to countless doctors appointments, getting scans and more doctors appointments. In the end they have come to the conclusion that my ligaments and tendons are inflamed and there is crazy growth on my cartilage causing sharp pain.
I’ve been getting quartazone injections in my shoulder to try calm everything down and help with the pain. Hopefuly this will sort it all out
and there will be no need for surgery. In the mean time I have been ordered to rest it as much as possible so i have just been kickin’ it back at home and my good friend Jack who has been helping me out with some physio and also I am becoming a Wii champion.
I do have a few thing I am working on in the mean time so even though I cant realy do much right now I should still have some new edits and some other stuff coming out real soon.
Fingers crossed I should be back bombing shit in no time. Peace…

So continuing our drive Friday we made it to a good friend John Young’s house. It’s always good to see John and beer immediately started going down a treat haha.
Yesterday was the Halloween jam and as I’ve always said it was the best day of the year. Had so much fun just riding with everyone and seeing the craziest shit go down. Ammon Chesworth is a menace to society haha.
So now we are just chilling in Sydney riding spots and parks having the best time ever. If you see us out come say g’day and have a roll. Peace!

Back In early September 2012 Ryan Guettler, Chris Courtenay and Clint Millar headed over to the UK for 9 days. We met up with UK riders Liam Vance and Sam Davies-Bate and trekked a ridiculous amount of kilometres to a bunch of cool BMX shops and parks hanging out with anyone that was out and about.
Thanks to all the riders and shops that we met and also to Tabletop Distribution for planning it all out. Myself and a good mate of mine Tinny set off for a roadtrip down to Sydney Halloween jam today.
We have already hit a few parks including Nimbin where I don’t think I’ve ever ridden faster than I have in at snake run. If you’re ever near and get the chance it’s definitely worth it!

Just as I was thinking to myself how good of a run Alex was having with injuries this year he goes and tears his ligaments in one of his ankles…
I was riding GC Compound all night on Sunday and then at the end of the session I decided to have a little skate. I tried to jump the mini spine and rolled my ankle and turns out I tore the ligaments in my ankle !!!
Stupid me trying to skate haha, I should just stick to bmx !!! I will be back in about 3 weeks hopefully !!!

Hey everyone, hope your all doing good. I am doing fine and its slowly getting colder over here in beautiful Portland, Oregon but that doesn’t slow me down at all because we have a fun indoor park here now and if am spending heaps of time in there doing workshops with kids and riding. Next to that I am still filming for my upcoming edit and we’re super close to wrapping it up and it should be online in the next few weeks. I was riding my first high school demo a couple weeks ago for the national guard over here and I was stoked how many kids were freaking out about what I love to do the most, good times for sure!
I was also thinking about a BMX tattoo for a long time and I came to the conclusion that Colony is what I’ve always wanted and calling Clint one of my best, long time friends makes it all pretty much a dream come true. I already have the best memories with having the most amazing team mates and the bike I always wanted. The tattoo is a connection to
Colony, bmx, friendship and Australia since I know my roots are laying over there. I couldn’t think of anything else because it means so much to me being a part of the Colony family and I am proud to rep Colony wherever I go. Putting all of this in a tattoo will remind me for the rest of my life how amazing it is to ride a BMX bike with the support of one of my longtime friends who has started a company out of his own love for BMX. Thanks Clint, Colony and the team for writing more stories for my my book of life.

“I’ve Been riding as much as I can with all my homies down the Gold Coast and was in the works of filming a new edit with my man Jack Birtles until I did a heap of ligaments in my ankle trying to get crazy! Things were getting off to a good start but hopefully only another 4 weeks until I’m back on and can continue filmin! Here’s a screen grab of what we started on! Will keep you guys in the loop on how this injury is going!”

Jourdan took a trip out to Texas recently, here is what went down…
Just took a road trip up to Austin, TX from Riverside, CA recently with Larry Alvarado ,Dan Norvell and Ryan Costa and we had a blast! I wasn’t able to enter the Texas Toast contest because it was too full by the time i got there. We had fun cruising around with the locals Jabari Winters and Hersh Patel and we also ended up staying at their house. Thanks a lot for letting us stay with you guys. I ended up going to jail the first night in Austin for partying a little too hard, but it wasn’t too much of a big deal considering that I was able to get out the next morning. Hurt my hand that weekend at the local house skate park so i was not able to do too much filming due to this injury. Over all it was a good time and I’d love to do it again some day. Thanks Colony for helping me get out there.
