How long have you been riding?
Been on the bike 23 years.
What got you interested in BMX?
I had a group of riders in a class at high school and I would look at there magazines all the time and just became stoked on it and eventually got my own bike.
Biggest influences in BMX:
For me early on I was stoked on Colin Mackay, Sebastian Keep, Gary Young and Dave Voelker! I kinda tried to blend a bit of each into my riding for sure.
Where are you living at the moment? And where did you grow up?
I am currently living in Albuquerque New Mexico, I grew up in lovely San Diego California.
What does a regular Saturday out on the bike usually consist of?
Saturdays usually my son and I will head to the local in the morning meet up with the boys and shred!
What are you doing for work these days?
I work as a vacuum and sewing machine repair man, not the most glamorous but its a place that I have a bit of freedom whenever I need to get out and ride!
Top 3 places you’ve ridden over the years:
Mission Valley YMCA, Dennis Enarson’s Ramps, and currently a private indoor called Deadwood.
What are your interests outside of Riding?
Sheesh I don’t really know haha, I am obsessed with riding, but getting out in nature is something I enjoy.
Tell us something about your local scene:
The Local scene kinda fluctuates from time to time but there are a pretty diverse group of riders from street to dirt to park! usually always someone to ride with.
What motivates you to go out and ride all the time?
Personally its just like picking a challenge for the day and trying to achieve the goal, I love the accomplishment! and I just love the freedom of riding!
Favourite place you’ve travelled to and why?
In the last few years for me it has been Springfield Missouri, The kids and scene out there are awesome! Great indoor/outdoor park and local BMX shop called Reds BMX, the shop owner does a ton for the local scene.
Good meals to eat:
Bean and cheese burritos all day!
Give us some bands/musicians you are into these days:
I don’t really stray from the stuff I have always listened to like Joy Division, the Ramones, Wu Tang Clan the list goes on but pretty typical stuff!
Favourite Colony product?
At the moment my favorite would have to be the Colony Elescious bars! Having 11″ bars made by Colony finally is so rad and very much needed for a rider of my height!
What has BMX has taught you:
Bmx has taught me the value of never giving up! trying a trick over and over and finally getting it done is the best feeling! Persistence and never be afraid to fail every now and then.
The usual thanks…
Big thank you to Clint and Cooper at Colony! Jimmy at Union Square, and all my friends around the world!
