Date of Birth:
Colony BMX , Afray Denim Co, Lux BMX Store, Nahyouritemate.
How long have you been riding?
10 Years about.
What got you interested in BMX?
My best mate Shane Batchler.
Biggest influences in BMX:
Definitely my best mates Shane Batchler and Dan Kershaw. Other than that I’ve always looked up to Clint Millar and Tobias Wicke. Also riders like Josh Betley, Mattias Dandois and Randy Taylor RIP.
Where are you living at the moment? And where did you grow up?
I’m living in Seaford, Melbourne, Australia. I grew up in Deception Bay, Brisbane, Australia.
What does a regular Saturday out on the bike usually consist of?
I love riding with Cooper and the guys hitting spots but I also love just chilling at a skatepark all day. That’s what makes it fun. I could be riding anywhere and love to change it up.
What are you doing for work these days?
At the moment I’m labouring casually. I’ll do just about anything if the money’s right hahaha.
Top 3 places you’ve ridden over the years:
Hardest question ever. Probably the white banks in Long Beach, California. Home Ave, in San Diego and My favourite is the Petrie Spillway near where I grew up. Oh and Red Ledges haha.
What are your interests outside of Riding?
Gambling, Tattoos and Whiskey haha. I love animals a lot. If there is a dog around I’ll probably disappear and be hanging with it asap.
Car you own/drive:
I have a Holden Combo. It’s like a Barina with a huge arse.
Tell us something about your local scene:
My old local acne was sick. Shout out to the Mozza Locals. Melbourne scene is insane. So many riders and everyone is super friendly. I love it. However, it dies in the ass a little when Coops go’s away haha.
What motivates you to go out and ride all the time?
My mates. The feeling of freedom. Clear my head. A lot of things.
Favourite place you’ve travelled to and why?
Portland, Oregon. For some reason that city just got me. So relaxed. It helps that it’s Paddy’s home town and he is the best human in the world.
Good meals to eat:
Turkey and provolone sub mikes way at Jersey Mikes Subs. That is all.
Give us some bands/musicians you are into these days:
All time fav is Ray Charles, but I’ll just about listen to anything short of country and western.
What has BMX has taught you:
To clear my head. We all get mad, but I used to get super mad and hate everything. BMX has given me a way to just relax and take everything as it comes. I’m forever thankful to my mates for inspiring me to get up on the horse and run with it.
The usual thanks… There are way too many people to thank but the important ones are My parents, for obvious reasons. Clint Millar, I wouldn’t have had the chance to do half the things I have done with my life without you supporting me and believing in me, thank you. Cooper Brownlee, for putting up with all our shit over the years on trips and being a great mate. Also for building the Australian scene like crazy and keeping half of us idiots wanting to go riding every day. Thank you.
