Date of Birth:
October 29, 1992.

Sponsors:
Colony and Dans Comp.

How long have you been riding?
I started racing BMX when I was 3 years old. I quit when I was around 9 and started racing motorcycles. I continued to ride bikes for fun and started going to the local skatepark when I was about 12. From then I was hooked and BMX took over my life.

What got you interested in BMX?
Bicycles and motorcycles have always been a big part of my life thanks to my dad. I played team sports growing up and raced dirt bikes but nothing compared to the fun and freedom like going to the skate park with friends.

Biggest influences in BMX:
Anybody that’s having fun riding their bike. Seeing someone that is having fun and enjoying BMX for what it truly is is what gets me so pumped on this amazing sport. That’s why I look up to people like Drew Bezanson, Kris Fox, Hucker, and Doyle; they have their own style and ride how they want to ride and do it for the love of riding.

Where are you living at the moment? And where did you grow up?
I’m still stuck in my hometown of Evansville, Indiana. The city is pretty lousy with an even lousier pre-fab skatepark. I plan on moving somewhere less terrible after I’m done with college.

What does a regular Saturday out on the bike usually consist of?
Since our local park is so awful, my friends and I travel 2 or 3 hours nearly every Saturday to ride somewhere good. Although the driving gets old really quick, nothing beats having a full, fun day of riding with your friends.

What are you doing for work these days?
I have been working at Dans Comp for about 4 and a half years now. I have packaged orders, built custom wheels, taken orders over the phone, and now currently work as a bike mechanic. Pretty sick job!

Top 3 places you’ve ridden over the years:
Camp Woodward, The Kitchen Skatepark, and the Louisville Mega Caverns.

What are your interests outside of Riding?
Besides riding BMX, any free time is spent with friends/family, in the gym, cruising through town on my road bike, or riding motorcycles.

Car you own/drive:
08 Chevy Cobalt Sport. Not too exciting but it’s a reliable road trip machine!

Tell us something about your local scene:
My local scene is small but solid. We have lost some of the older, original riders over the past few years but have some promising young guns that are progressing pretty quickly. Big thanks to my Dans Comp flow teammates and good friends Dylan, Mike B, Derek, and Michael as well as my homies Zach and Josh for keeping the fun and progression alive at our lame local park.

What motivates you to go out and ride all the time?
Fun, progression, and friends. I don’t ride to train or to be the best, I ride because I enjoy it. With that being said, nothing beats the feeling of landing a trick you never thought you’d be able to do. It’s not to compare yourself to others, but to push yourself to new limits for your own gratification.

Favourite place you’ve travelled to and why?
Getting to go to Camp Woodward was a dream come true. I’ve dreamed of going to Woodward since I was a kid and the experience was amazing. I met so many amazing people from all over the world and rode some of the most legendary ramps there are. It’s just as sick as it is in the Dave Mirra video game!

Good meals to eat:
Nothing beats a good, home cooked meal. Spaghetti, lasagna, and tacos are the best!

Give us some bands/musicians you are into these days:
I have been a big fan of The Avett Brothers lately. I enjoy music that actually takes talent and has meaningful lyrics.
Matt and Kim have the craziest shows and they’re music is fun. I also listen to some heavier stuff like Parkway Drive and A Day to Remember

Favourite Colony product?
If I had to pick it would probably be the Squareback Stem or the 22s Cranks. The stem just looks so good and the cranks are strong and light all while looking solid.

What has BMX has taught you:
BMX has taught me dedication, patience, true friendship, and how to stay awake while driving late at night after riding all day.

The usual thanks…
Huge thanks to Scott, Frank and Steve at Dans for all they have done for me over the years. Also thanks to all of my friends that make BMX so fun. And of course, a huge thanks to Clint and Keith from Colony for all they have done for me. I really appreciate and touched by all the people that support me and what I love to do.
