Expect to see Bobbie Altiser & Paddy Gross repping front brakes for us. This is the last one that will be held at that park so make sure you get along for the fun times.

Bobbie, his lovely girlfriend Brittany and myself took a trip to Wisconsin last weekend for the Baco-A-Go-Go jam. One reason for me was to spend time with Bobbie since we live quite a distance apart from each other and if you know Bobbie then you know the more you’re around this guy around the better. The other reason was hopefully to meet one of my biggest riding influence Dave Freimuth who was stoked that we came out, and most of the Baco Crew. We also had the chance to hang out with BMX media pioneer Chris Rye who paved the road starting Props Video Magazine back in the 1993. After 6 hours driving from Missouri through Iowa up to Wisconsin Bobbie and me decided to give the Miniramp a quick hello session friday night and continued riding the Mini all saturday long until the #frontbrakebrethren jam.
Most of saturday was for the Park contest and one thing I noticed was that the beginner classes were split in age groups which i haven’t seen in a while and it was awesome to see that everyone had a fair chance to ride. Pro Park was amazing to watch and they sure killed it with all the things you can imagine can be done in a flip or a whip. Pretty impressive for sure! Last Comp was the one for all the riders who mostly use their left fingers. Since people with riding frontbrakes are still rare we’ve had a cool little group of around 12 people such as Tj Henderson, Patrick Kelly, Nick Harkins, Travis McCray, Dan Sieg, Lucas Hastay, Bobbie, myself and a few others. Since the jam was held towards the evening it started getting cold but many good actions by everyone created heat on the deck.
Tj Henderson took the trophy at the end after pulling his ridiculous nosepick combo “nosepick to fakie to backwards nosepick to fakie over the spine to fakie nosepick whip”! You’ll have to watch the upcoming video to get it and he well deserved the win after trying this for quite a while in the cold and committing to it. Bobbie and me also did our thing and it should be good video with a lot of unique things in it including the After Party that got a little out of hand and had a lot of fire involved. At the end we had the best time with a lot of good people, BMX legends, new friends, old friends, beers, a lot of fire and riding our bikes. Thanks to the Baco Crew for the fun weekend that was just about BMX. Good times and we’ll be back next year! Cheers, Paddy & Bobbie.
Hey guys just a little update to let you know what’s happening.
It’s been hard to give anyone news because to be quite honest, there hasn’t been any. So I’m going through physio weekly and have to keep doing that. I have an MRI scheduled for 3 months from now because believe it or not there is still too much edema in my knee. It’s a long process but I’m getting stronger by the day and am not letting it get me down too much.
Now to the good news. That news is that everyone’s favourite human (and my own personal hero) Bobbie Altiser has a split video coming out with myself next week. It’s not the same as our first one but the things he does on a bike are just absurd. I’m pretty sure I haven’t seen at least 5 of the tricks he does in it. So get excited for that.
The footage of myself was just stuff that I was able to film with the man Cooper while we had the chance for a month at the start of last summer. Still fun stuff though. Other than that I’m just keeping busy guys. Exercising my leg mainly. I’ll be back in no time. Just wanted to say thanks to Colony for having my back this whole time I’ve been injured. Really lifts my spirits and makes me want to get back faster.
Anyway, until next time, Peace!

Here is the final raw video from our recent trip. Thanks to all the shops and crew that came out for a roll, we had a blast…
Here is part 3 of our recent trip down the east coast. A sort of behind the scenes look into the 2 days of the trip throughout the ACT, hanging out at Backbone BMX (and Yass).
Riders featured: Chris Courtenay, Bobbie Altiser, Zac Miner, Tom Stretton, Clint Millar, Ricky Cantanzariti and Luke Parker.
Part 2 of the trip from a video perspective. We spent 3 days travelling south through New South Wales and this video is packed full of riding footage and some good times we had along the way…
As you would have seen if you follow us on Instagram, we are currently doing a 2 week trip between Brisbane and Melbourne hitting up a bunch of parks, shops and anything else along the way with some of the crew.
Here is a sort of behind the scenes look into the first 5 days of the trip along with some clips we didn’t keep for other projects.
If you are in Sydney today, head out to the Bass Hill park around 3pm for a session…
The 2nd instalment for the video project featuring as much of the team as possible and with as much diversity possible…
This one features Zac Miner, Paddy Gross, Dean Anderson, Chris Bracamonte, Nathan Sykes, Jack Kelly, Mick Bayzand, Luke Parker, Clint Millar, Bobbie Altiser,, Mike Brennan, Pete Radivo, Brandon Van Dulken, Cooper Brownlee, Jourdan Barba, Michal Mycek, Stas Shatilo, Liam Marshall, Shuhei Maz Azuma, Alex Hiam and Polly.
In my eyes, Bobbie is one of the most entertaining riders to watch and film, This video was basically filmed over two weeks. One week in California back in March then another week in September when we tripped up to Utah. I honestly don’t think this song could be used for anyone but Bobbie but i feel it works really well. I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I did making it with Bob…
We wanted to start a video project featuring as much of the team as possible and with as much diversity possible. Here is the first of many Collective’s.
This one features Zac Miner, Paddy Gross, Dean Anderson, Ryan Guettler, Nathan Sykes, Jack Kelly, Mick Bayzand, Luke Parker, Justin Care, Clint Millar, Bobbie Altiser, Keith Treanor, Mike Brennan, Pete Radivo, Brandon Van Dulken and Ryan Winterbotham.
Bobbie took out the #frontbrakebrethren contest at Baco last weekend. I can’t wait to see the footage from it to see what went down.
I have always been a huge fan of Dave Freimuth’s riding, ever since I was first introduced to Baco 4 on VHS back in the day. His riding was exactly what I was into & still am today, front brake mini ramp tech. It was a dream come true for me to have a clip in Baco 10 a few years ago as I had always watched these videos & admired them all. I so wish I could be over for this jam but I can’t I am sorry to say. For any those closer than Australia to Wisconsin, you should make the effort to get yourself along for a great weekend.
Bobbie Altiser will be flying the flag for Colony there so I am stoked on that. I also stoked that we could help support the jam with some prizes.
Yo yo !!
If you frequent this site or our Instagram you would know that Jack and Cooper were over in California recently for a month. The guys were over there filming for a new web video which will be out very soon. Jack took his Go Pro with him and filmed a few clips of some of the crew they hung out with whilst over there. Cooper, Bobbie, Jourdan and Ryan all have some footage in this aswell.
Yo yo !!
Earlier in the week we were looking into parks to ride in the San Diego area and this park popped up via Google which caught our eye. It happened to be a bike only night that night so we hit it up and there was only 2 other people there. The Esondido park was super fun and no doubt we will be heading back many more times. Here are a few quick shots from the session.
This Sunday from 3pm till 5pm, we’re having an in-store jam at East County BMX down in San Diego with a good selection of the team including Mike Brennan, Jourdan Barba, Jack Kelly, Justin Care, Bobbie Altiser, Alex Hiam, Chris Courtenay, Chris Bacramonte & Cooper Brownlee. All the guys from the East County BMX / Colony flow team will also be there on the day. Come along to meet & ride with some of the team guys. There will also be free food & drinks along with some giveaways on the day. Should be an awesome day.

We’re one of the few brands who still make forks with brake mounts these days, always have, always will.
To celebrate this fact we compiled a bunch of front brake clips from Clint, Polly & Bobbie. Some new, some older but all showing good use of the front brake. It’s something we feel very strongly about & will always offer within our product range. Forks with brake mounts are here to stay & we’re helping that one bike at a time. #colonybmxbrand #frontbrakebrethren
A few months ago Tom and Bobbie spent some time in the USA and during that time they came up with the idea of shooting a doubles video together. As you can see their riding styles gel well together so we knew it was going to be a treat! This was a lot of fun to shoot so hopefully that shines through in the video.
